An insight into the ingredients:
Candelilla wax is a plant based Vegan alternative to beeswax, This Mexican plant protects from dehydration.
Because of its high ester, fatty acid and moisture retaining properties, Candelilla wax is one of the best suited ingredients for increasing the protective coating.
One of the most important characteristics of candelilla wax is that it helps to lock in moisture. This essentially acts as a barrier and that can be incredibly beneficial for dogs paws & noses, especially those that may have a tendency to become dried and crack up.
Shea: Shea butter soothes, softens, and hydrates skin. In addition, shea butter moisturizes and conditions paws to prevent and/or rehydrate dry/cracked paws. Shea butter contains a unique substance known as cinnamic acid, and cinnamic acid has natural antibacterial properties that help to ward off infection and speed up wound healing. Shea butter also contains naturally occurring vitamin A, which is known to speed up the recovery and regeneration of the skin. The vitamin E in Shea butter also helps to soothe irritations and speed recovery, while the essential fatty acids keep the skin healthy, elastic, and better prepared to heal itself should the need arise.
Argan oil is rich in poly-unsaturated fatty acids, including linoleic acid, Omega 6, and natural tocopherols. It is said to be nourishing, regenerating and protective. This moroccan miracle oil, as it is often called, contains 80% essential fatty acids (to help reduce inflammation), as well as squalene (to help soften), phytosterols (to help protect collagen) and phenolic compounds (to guard against free radicals).
Hemp seed oil: The oil in hemp seeds is said to penetrate the inner layers of the skin and promote healthy cell growth. Due to its high content of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, hemp oil has a composition similar to skin lipids, which makes it an excellent natural emollient and moisturizer making it a asset ingredient to this product.
Coconut oil can help protect their paws from getting sore and irritated. It not only moisturizes the skin on the paws, but it can act as a protective balm, and create a barrier between your dog’s paws, and any irritants.
Said to help prevent Infections, Cuts and wounds on your dog’s paws can easily become infected as they’re exposed to the outside world.
Coconut oil is a natural anti-fungal, antibiotic, and antiseptic oil. It can help protect wounds from infection, while still being completely safe if your dog licks at it.
Helps Speed Up Healing
Coconut oil is packed full of vitamins and minerals that are very beneficial for skin health. As healthy skin heals faster, coconut oil can help heal any wounds your dogs have. The same minerals and vitamins can also reduce the appearance of scars, and keep the skin in that area healthy, moisturized and soothed.
